Financial Policy
The best way to save on dental costs is prevention and quality dentistry as soon as problems arise. We pledge to provide each patient with a comprehensive treatment plan based on concerns from their general dentist and Dr. Johnson’s findings from the periodontal evaluation. We will explain insurance benefits so patients understand both their coverage and their responsibilities. We will be honest with patients about costs and help patients afford good dental health care with the goal of keeping their teeth for a life time.
General Fee Information:
Once you are presented with a treatment plan we will do our best to eliminate financial complications and make sure you feel comfortable with your financial arrangement. If you have insurance, we will help you look into your insurance coverage and submit pre-treatment authorizations as necessary so you will be aware of the remaining portion due that we will collect on the day of service, prior to treatment.
Dental Benefits:
- We promise to base your treatment on your dental health needs, not on your insurance policy.
- Although you have insurance coverage, some procedures may not be covered. A deductible or a copayment may be required. Our business manager will be happy to review your dental benefits coverage with you.
- Deductible and copayment are due on the day of service, prior to treatment.
- We do submit to all insurance companies; however, we only participate with Northeast Delta Dental.
- When submitting to an insurance company that we do not participate with, they may not accept the entire fee for the service since we are an out of network provider. You would be responsible for the difference in fee schedules.
- Your level of insurance coverage is determined by the policy your employer selects. If you think your coverage is insufficient, you may wish to address this with your employer.
Payment Arrangements:
Payment is due on the day of service prior to treatment, unless other arrangements have been made.
We will work with your insurance company and only collect the remaining portion on the day of service, prior to treatment based on the information we receive from your provider. These remaining portions are only estimates based on what your insurance company will provide to us. Even with pre-treatment authorizations your insurance company will not guarantee payment; therefore, we can not guarantee a payment from them. If there are any discrepancies when we receive your insurance payment you will be responsible for the difference. When possible, we will appeal these discrepancies for you to help you receive the maximum possible insurance benefits.
